Academy³ is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) licensed by the federal government agency, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), to deliver online, post-secondary education in the business services sector. The nationally accredited courses we offer are regularly audited and delivered in conformity with the government managed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Director of Studies

The Director of Studies at academy³ is Paul Muller.

Paul has over 15 years experience managing diverse corporations in the UK and Australia. Responsible for teams of over 100 staff, and businesses yielding turnover in excess of $US 60 million per annum, Paul credits his success to working hands-on at every level of enterprise.

This has served Paul well in his transition to an academic career, giving him a far more practical focus than many of his institutionalised colleagues. For that reason, he is a highly sought after presenter, regularly speaking to audiences in Australia, Europe and Asia.

With a Masters degree in International Sports Management and membership of numerous professional associations, Paul (a life-long learner) is currently completing his PhD in Management with the University of Tasmania.

Managing Director

The Managing Director of academy³ is Ian McMahon.

Ian has extensive management experience in both the public and private sectors, inlcuding thirteen years in the Australian Army, where he attained the rank of Major. Ian is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has a degree in Management and Professional Studies from Southern Cross University, Diplomas of Entrepreneurial Management and Occupational Health and Safety, a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, and is an accredited External Auditor (Quality ISO 9001:2000).

Paul and Ian are also active Members of the Australian Institute of Project Management, and the Project Management Institute. Together, they have formally managed and/or audited well over 100 fully realised projects worth in excess of $US 80 million, and have consulted on project management to a number of leading Australian and international firms. In these roles they have directly enabled increased productivity and workplace efficiencies for both employers and clients.

In 2011, they will be presenting an industry paper at the 25^th World Congress of the International Project Management Association on the exogenous value created by projects.
